On her days off you can find Tinsel at home in her PJ’s playing video games. One day she played Zelda for ten hours straight. “I’m such a thinker, I just think about the world’s problems way too much, so video games are my perfect escape. I can play super Mario brothers for forever.”

Before Tinsel booked the Twilight saga and Cory Monteith booked the Fox mega-hit Glee they worked together on a TV movie called Hybrid. They both played cross-breeded humans in a twist on the werewolf genre.

Tinsel loves to throw a Twitter dance party. “A lot of people use Twitter to talk about their projects, but I have dance parties online with the fans. I’m kind of a dork.”

Tinsel Korey: Twilight Saga

In 2008 Tinsel Korey hadn’t read any of the Twilight books or know about the movie adaptation. “My little sister, was like ‘I want to see Twilight and I was like ‘what’s Twilight?’” Unbeknownst to Tinsel, Rene Haynes, the casting director, already had her in mind for the role of Emily. “When the audition came around for New Moon I really wanted to get it for my sister, so I could take her to the premiere and stuff” she confides.

“The casting room was super small. I could’ve sat on Chris Weitz (the Director)” she giggles. “I thought I messed up and I when I left the casting room I was totally devastated, but a week letter I got the role and I couldn’t tell anybody. I had to keep it a secret.”

Tinsel loves a challenge and the role of Emily definitely provided one. The character has a maternal nature that Tinsel admits didn’t come naturally at first. “Even with the vanity thing, having a scar cover half your face. I definitely look at vanity a different way. When Chris Weitz was working with me on the reveal of the scar I was hiding the side of my face, like maybe she wasn’t so secure with it and he was like ‘Emily is a really strong, proud woman, the scar doesn’t faze her at all.’ I’ve grown a lot from playing her.”

Being part of a cultural phenomenon is surreal, but Tinsel doesn’t take it too seriously. “I try not to think about all that stuff but every once in a while it will hit me. Like Oprah had watched New Moon and I was like ‘oh my god, I flashed before Oprah’s eyes, that’s crazy.’” Kristen Stewart told Tinsel there was no way to prepare for this kind of thing, and boy was she right. “I don’t think you get used to it, I haven’t,” referring to the passionate fan base. “I’m always like ‘this is for me?’”

Jenn Proske: Carole King Reader

I’m obsessed with her. I saw her with James Taylor a couple of months ago and it was just like a dream come true watching Carole King with my mom and my sister. They were fabulous. It was one of my lifelong goals was to see her. That’s the one famous person I’d love to meet.

I learned to read off a Carole King album. I knew all the words to the Carole King album Tapestry by the time I was three, so my parents sat me down and gave me the vinyl and said “All those words that you know these are the words. This is what they actually look like.” And so I used to sit there and I’d match them up which I knew all the words to the songs.

That album’s framed in my kitchen. It’s next to my stove in my kitchen I look at it every day.

Jenn Proske: 5 Tips To Impersonate Kristen Stewart

I have to say it’s Kristin Stewart as Bella first of all. I didn’t watch Kristen Stewart in interviews or anything like that, I just watched her Bella. When I got to Shreveport, Louisiana where we were filming Vampires Suck, I talked to the directors and we realized that we wanted to treat this as seriously as as if I had booked the role of Bella in Twilight. So my own personal approach was that I reread the book and I kind of approached it as if I had booked Bella, and I took notes on what it was like when she met Edward and went to school and everything like that.

I wanted to add Kristin Stewart’s mannerism and vocal patterns, so I watched the movie literally honestly over 100 times. I changed my voice for the part I speak in a much lower register than I actually talk. And I changed my mannerism and my speech patterns and I wanted to layer Kristin Stewart on top of that so it would be recognizable.

How To Impersonate Kristen Stewart? Here are five tips:

1) Cast your eyes down

2) Let your shoulders sink

3) Bite your lip

4) Push your hair your ear and twitch a little bit

And most importantly…

5) Break up your speech so its breathy to achieve that not quite getting out sentences in a fully eloquent manner.

Jenn Proske: Slovenian Spokeswoman

It’s just the most gorgeous undiscovered country. That’s what I love about Slovenia. My dad was born and grew up there, and his family still leaves there. I spent some time in Europe last summer just traveling with my dad. You go to Paris or to Spain or Germany and it’s touristy and a little pricey. And then you got Slovenia and it’s just like this cheaper undiscovered beautiful country. My family there live in Kranjska Gora, which is the base of the Julian Alps. You feel like you’re in The Sound of Music when you walk outside. It’s these gorgeous mountain peaks and Alps.

I went whitewater rafting on the Socha River, which is like the Emerald River. The water’s green – just beautiful. And then we drove an hour and a half south and you’re at the base of the Adriatic Coast looking at Italy and Austria and it’s the most gorgeous country. I don’t know why more people don’t go there but I kind of hope that they don’t.

They have a lot of farm there and milk their cows and kill their own chickens and it’s beautiful. It’s just a different world but I really would love to spend some time there and learn the language.

Jenn Proske: Flower Girl

I was a floral designer. I use to design all the flowers for the Saint Regis resort in Orange County -the big 12 foot tall arrangements and all the big flower arrangements. It was really cool.

Do I have any tips? I think choosing something bold and interesting. I like working with bizarre flowers, combining the really classic with the contemporary, such as pretty roses with really interesting unique flowers that not many people know of. I like really close flowers in an arrangement.

My personal design aesthetic is kind modern where it’s bunched together real tight and has little domes of flowers and not much space.

Jenn Proske: Gaga Over Alice and Olivia

I’m currently obsessed with Alice and Olivia dresses. Alice and Olivia is this fabulous designer and they just have these dresses that all fit me and my body. Sometimes as a girl you’re in between the sizes, but for some reason Alice and Olivia are the right fit.

They’re just super chic and beautiful and interesting and I love their designs. I had the opportunity to wear their gowns for two red carpet events a couple of weeks ago and I felt great.

They fit well, they move well, and I love to dance so they’re fun to dance in!

Jenn Proske: Mentor Mom

Both my parents are artists. My mom was a professional dancer and my dad’s a visual artists, so I grew up in this very tight-knit theatrical community. I’ve been an actor since I was six. I’m not very well versed in sports or that because theatre has always been a great path. In high school, my family went through really difficult financial issues and I had to work at the same time as act, and when I juggled that and really realized that I needed to make a job out of acting. That was definitely a pivotal moment.

My mom is my best friend and my mentor and my personal coach. I think she’s the most hardworking generous wonderful human being. She gives me all the mantras of keeping positive, and reinforces why I’m doing this and that I’m doing the right thing.

I went to see Vampires Suck in the theater with my mom. Knowing that my mom has been there every step of the way since I was six-years-old playing Ticklish the Dwarf in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. She’s just been like my Number mentor, cheerleader, everything, support team, best friend. It was really cool to see it with her. She’s really proud and I’m proud to have done this for her in her honor and it was amazing.

I did get recognized in the theater. I had to sign a bunch of teenage boy’s arms. It was really cool.
