My mom was a theatre actress. My dad – he’s an amazing dancer, chef, and musician. He plays the drums – that’s where I learned them from. I did know who they were. My dad played the drums in the 80s, so I was around a lot of music. My mom’s a big music fan too. I wasn’t that familiar with the group – that’s why I wasn’t a fan. I was incredibly excited to get it. I always wanted to be an actress and this was the first time that I was like, “Oh, wow, I really can be. It’s very unique. I booked All My Children, a soap opera, and I wasn’t going to be able to go to school every single day. I had to work. This school was a last minute switch. It’s more like college in that you can take classes when you need to, and you can miss school, and go on this program called guided study and be able to work.
