Stella Maeve: Rapid Fire

In Rapid Fire, we ask each Girl to finish the beginning of a sentence we provide. They will have only mere milliseconds to provide a response, so these answers will come straight from their unconscious, unencumbered by oppressive societal conventions and the insidious forces of excessive politeness. Enjoy Stella Maeve! My motto is… live each day like it’s your last. I can’t stand... [Read more]

Stella Maeve: Try Everything Once

I think that helping the Earth is a big, big thing. I recycle. When I go grocery shopping, I bring my burlap sack, my burlap bags. In L.A., you see it a lot more than New York, but I definitely see more and more people doing it, making a difference and every little bit helps. Don’t use plastic bags. If you can afford it, buy a Prius. Whatever you can do to help. Ride a bike. Try new and... [Read more]

Stella Maeve: Dating Philosophy

I think the best thing to do is to surround yourself with positive people; people that have a good energy and want to live life and smile. When you spend so much time around people that aren’t lifting you up or making you feel like these things are possible, it’s a waste of everyone’s time. It’s not a good feeling. Surround yourself with people that you have fun with,... [Read more]

Stella Maeve: Gossip Girl and Leighton Meester

That role was so much fun to do because it’s totally not me at all; the complete polar opposite of me now and me at 14. I did actually live on the Upper West Side for a little while, but it isn’t what it used to be. It’s very different now. Nobody wants to live on the Upper East Side anymore. Everybody is all about Soho and the East Village and the West Village. That was great... [Read more]

Stella Maeve: Kristen and Dakota

I had no idea what to expect of Kristen. I had seen her work. And Dakota’s as well. I wasn’t nervous or anything, just almost like, “I really have to step up my game because I’m working with these amazing actresses and I don’t want to be the weakest link.” Kristen and Dakota and I became really close very quick. We hit it off right away. We all just spent a lot of time together on... [Read more]

Stella Maeve: Studying Sandy

Sandy West – she’s the only one that’s not around with us anymore. I talked with all of her friends and family. I studied the videos. I spoke on the phone with her sister and her mother, and read up on her. I wanted to live my life the way that she did and try to get it down perfectly because it’s really important, especially since she’s no longer here. It’s extremely hard. Joan and... [Read more]

Stella Maeve: Hell’s Kitchen Native

Hell’s Kitchen is my hometown. I was born at Lenox Hill Hospital. I loved acting ever since I was four years old. I’m named after Stella Adler who was a famous acting teacher. My mom was a theatre actress. My dad – he’s an amazing dancer, chef, and musician. He plays the drums – that’s where I learned them from. I think both of them are just very eccentric and amazing artists.... [Read more]

Stella Maeve: The Runaways

I did know who they were. My dad played the drums in the 80s, so I was around a lot of music.  My mom’s a big music fan too. I wasn’t that familiar with the group – that’s why I wasn’t a fan.  But I definitely knew who they were. They changed rock and roll history. Think about it – the 1970s, 15 year old girls in an all rock band. Nobody would’ve ever thought. They went worldwide.... [Read more]

Introducing Stella Maeve From The Runaways

“I want people to take away from this movie that it doesn’t matter what age you are or what sex you are, you can do anything. Anything is possible in this life,” says Stella Maeve of her upcoming rock n roll bio-pic The Runaways. It’s based on the all-girl, teenage band that launched the career of Joan Jett in the 70s. Stella plays co-founder and drummer Sandy West, and she can relate... [Read more]

Alexandra Daddario: Rapid Fire

Alexandra Daddario: Steve Martin

I love Steve Martin. I think he has a great perspective on life. I think he’s a genius. L.A. Story is one of my favorite movies. He has this wonderful way of looking at everything with a sense of humor. Even though things can get difficult, and things can be stressful and there ar bad times in life, he still has a way of looking at it with humor and think that’s very important in life. He... [Read more]

Alexandra Daddario: All My Children

I was incredibly excited to get it. I always wanted to be an actress and this was the first time that I was like, “Oh, wow, I really can be. I can do this with my life.” It was also an amazing learning experience.  Just being around cameras, being around other actors, and working and just doing it every day. They shoot an episode every day, so you have to memorize your lines. It was definitely... [Read more]

Alexandra Daddario: PCS

It’s very unique. I booked All My Children, a soap opera, and I wasn’t going to be able to go to school every single day. I had to work. This school was a last minute switch. It’s more like college in that you can take classes when you need to, and you can miss school, and go on this program called guided study and be able to work. The other kids at this school are doing similar things.... [Read more]

Alexandra Daddario: Logan and Brandon

The best thing about them is that they all absolutely love movies. They’re all very, very passionate and they want to be filmmakers. As far as fame or any of that goes, they don’t really pay attention or think about it all that much. We’ve had many nights where we just played music, and talked about movies and they’re also really funny. It’s great when you have the... [Read more]

Alexandra Daddario: Percy Jackson

It’s about a boy named Percy Jackson. He’s also a demigod. He’s the son of Poseidon and he doesn’t know that he is a demigod at first. He finds out because Zeus’ lightning bolt goes missing and the gods are about to start this huge war because they all think that Poseidon’s son took it. Percy goes to Camp Half Blood, where he meets me. It’s this camp where demigods sort of harness... [Read more]
