Simmons Sisters: High School Memories

Vanessa: The moments that made me who I am in high school are the moments when people made fun of me for being different. They’d make fun of me because I came from this family. And they’d be like, ‘you’re just spoiled, or you’re just this,’ and I’d be like, ‘Okay, if I’m just going to get constantly badgered for who I am, I’m just always going to be who I am, I don’t care,’ so that made me who I am. I went through that in college too, but that’s made me a stronger person.
Angela: I’d say high school was definitely motivation for today. There are a lot of people who don’t want to be your friend.
Vanessa: Or they did want to be your friend because you were famous!
Angela: There were fakes, but I had more people who probably didn’t want to be my friend.
Vanessa: I had people scratch my car for no reason.
Angela: Oh there’s a ton of stuff, and I definitely agree with what she just said, so I’m going to have to steal that!
