Sarah Hyland: Math Class Showdown
When I was in ninth grade we had a math teacher, and my favorite subject is math. Apparently two weeks before school started that math teacher went a little crazy and went on sabbatical. They had two weeks to find a new math teacher, so they just got whoever they could, and he was insane. We had a test one day and I sat in a seat next to my friend, and he was like, “You can’t sit there.” I was like, “What do you mean I can’t sit here? I sit here every day of my life.” He’s like, “You just can’t sit there. You have to move right now.” And I was like, “No. I sit here every day.”
He kicked me out of class and I was like, “You’re going to have to carry me out if you want me to because I’m not leaving this seat.” And I like held on to my desk and made this big scene and everything. And I think that’s when I was like, “You know what? I’m not going to take anyone’s BS , and I don’t have to deal with people who are like this and who have no reasoning.” I was not going to take any more of his crap.
He was fired. And I was not suspended. I was not expelled. I got in no trouble at all because he was just crazy and they ended up getting a different teacher that was even more crazy.
That wasn’t the greatest year for math.
