One time I worked with a movie cow, an actor movie cow. Well, that was really weird because it was supposedly like a trained cow for this movie, but it clearly wasn’t.  I don’t think you can train a cow. Cows are not smart.

We were doing this scene and it was really emotional where this character finds out their mom is really sick. We’re all standing there, and for some reason we’re in a barn with this cow. It was a period piece.  And the cow was just sticking its tongue out and licking out the inside of its nose the whole time during the scene and I was dying laughing. All the actors were hysterical because it’s this emotional scene and this cow was standing there like licking its nose the entire time.

I had to move this cow and he wouldn’t move. He was covered with greasy fly spray, I got it all over me. It was a pretty traumatizing experience.
