I had a cold, snowy upbringing in Canada. We lived on a farm and had lots of animals. We have a horse. My sister is like a crazy amazing rider. I rode for a long time too but I was always too nervous to do it professionally.  And we had dogs, cats, and rescue animals. My mom and my sister run a rehabilitation center for injured wild animals in the spring time. We keep them if the mother gets injured, like hit by a car, and then we get all the squirrels and we have to bottle feed them every hour and then set them free when they are ready. So in the spring time my house is literally a zoo. I would go to the bathroom and they’d be like, “You can’t use the shower, there are baby ducks in there.”  There would be ducks and we’d have a ground hog running around the living room. We hand-raised raccoons and then set them free. I’m used to having bunnies hopping around my bedroom floor that are wild.

We live on a river so every morning there were like hundreds of ducks and geese in our front yard. We’d go out and feed them corn. There are deer and my mom would go out and give them apples out of her hand. It was like total Snow White, animals everywhere.
