Megan Park: A Real ABC Family

"Daren, Francia and I goofing around behind the scenes. This was back during season one!"

We used to party a lot more together our first and second seasons. Now we’ve kind of settled into this routine. It’s like family. The interesting thing is I feel like we’re all going to have a bond forever because I mean I met Darren in the audition room. He gave me a ride home because I didn’t have a car yet. We’ve gone through it all together and only the six of us know what’s it’s like to have gone from nothing to this show, to how it’s affected all of our lives. We all have a very deep bond because of that, and a very deep support system.

I feel like I could call any one of them any time of day and they would be there, which is really cool. And there really isn’t any drama. Everyone keeps it professional. We all really enjoy each other genuinely. We love when we get to travel together and get to New York. We always have so much fun and have ridiculously good memories and funny videos afterwards. But we’re all really, really different too, and we don’t spend all of our time together off set, which I think is good and healthy. But when we’re at work we really thoroughly enjoy each other.

This is Shai and I in NYC when we were there doing Tyra. We were only there for a day but we managed to explore so much of the city together. We both enjoy doing the same things so we are good travel buddies.

It’s really bizarre because on set we’re in a bubble. It’s the same people we’ve known since the beginning and they don’t treat us any differently.  Your work life doesn’t change, but as soon as you leave set now there’s like people everywhere who know who you are, who are like following you and stuff like that. I can’t go one day probably if I went to the mall or people would see me without – it’s kind of bizarre.

There’s a lot of like staring and pointing and people are will yell out, “Grace” to see if I’ll turn around.  But now people are starting to know my name and coming up to me and just asking for photos and telling me that they like the show. It’s nothing crazy.

Here’s a look at the happy cast:
