Marina Orlova: A Friendly Teacher

A lot of teachers were kind of mean in Russia. They wanted you to study and always be attentive and listen to them. They would not bring their own personality because they were brought up in the communist times, so they were always like “You have to do your homework”. I was always like, “What if she was a little bit friendlier? That would be much better.” So that’s why in my videos, I act like I’m a friendly teacher, I give you kisses, I give prizes if you guess it right, so that’s one of the reasons for me to become a friendly teacher, a good-looking teacher, because in my high school there were no good-looking teachers at all! I’m a positive person. I am optimistic and easy-going.
