Christine Woods: Soundsational O.C. Upbringing

Growing up in Orange County, I think that some people forget that it’s very huge. think that because of what people see like with the Real Housewives and all that stuff that they assume everybody in Orange County has like a lot of money. But we don’t. It’s not just Laguna Beach and Newport and Huntington. There’s like Costa Mesa and Anaheim and all those places that expand from like big mansions on the beach. It’s a little bit of a bubble, but I had a great experience growing up there, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
I was a huge like theater nerd in high school. I was the president of my show choir which was called Soundsation just to give you an idea of how like intense it was. I was kind of a geek. I just really loved what I did. I found my calling early on, you know what I mean? I was an actor and a performer but it’s not like I was this big weirdo that was this recluse. But I remember having to kind of bridge that gap between the jocks and the theater people in high school. Very Glee. I do remember sticking up for the geeks in high school. I was a secret one.
