Charlotte Arnold: What Do You Want To Be?
I just finished my third year of university at Ryerson in Toronto, and I was taking journalism. It’s nice, because they give you the chance to explore all the different areas, but I’m leaning towards being on camera or working in TV news, just because I will have a hard time ever leaving that crew and the atmosphere of working on a set. I really love making TV, so I think I’d want to stay involved with that.
I get a lot of “What do you want to be?” Everyone does when you’re growing up. My mother has always told me just take your time, enjoy yourself, and don’t worry about it, and you’ll figure it out in the end. I think it’s nice to have someone like that in my life, because every time I start panicking, like, “What am I going to do after university? I have to make choices?”
She’s like, “You don’t have to make choices. You can do both for a while. You can decide which one.” I’m just looking forward to when the show ends, when university ends, I’ll just explore.

A self-proclaimed TV fanatic, there isn’t a Bravo marathon she hasn’t vegged out to, she still mourns the loss of “Friday Night Lights,” and can’t go to sleep on Thursday night if she hasn’t watched “The Vampire Diaries.”

Charlotte! I work in TV news, it’s horrid and no one is friends…they like to belittle and back stab you. Stay with series TV, News is de-humanizing…or host a music show i think you would love that. Whatever you do, it will be great.
